...ignoring the bewildering Gina favouritism, I agree that some people seem to watch these shows purely for someone to hate. They switched back to VTE because it makes more money... in other words... people will vote harder to "get out someone they hate" than to save a housemate they like.
That fact alone, is a really, really sad reflection on the public in general.
You can really see it reflected in the BOTS audience, which is interesting. I was never a Gina fan and there were a lot of people here, for example, sticking up for Hazel long before this week... but I swear the BOTS audience only a week ago were unilaterally booing Hazel and cheering like schoolgirls at a boyband concert for Gina... and then, I tune in last night, to see that the BOTS audience (made up of basically the same people every time) was giving Hazel a pretty good reception, clapping and cheering her, and when one of the panellists showed support for Gina all of a sudden it was "Boooo, nooo!!".
I'd like to think it's just that they have had their eyes opened to her not being particularly nice... but, realistically, it can only be because Hazel was a dead-cert to go and so that nasty mob mentality was pre-emptively switching to another housemate.
