Dexter has not been on a journey, he has not undergone a transformation
, or any of the other crap.
Remember in the safe house. He told Gina that the public loved someone who had been on a journey and transformation etc.., that is why they would love her.
Now Dexter is playing that card, it is just weird to look at. I haven't seen any change from when he came in. He's just saying it right now, because he think that the public loves a "journey".
