Good Post........yes I think you may have hit on the unpalatable truth, Putin knows the Russian peoples attitudes and LGB practices are not generally welcomed. He knows there is a tide of western liberalism sweeping across most of the developed World and maybe he is saying NOT here....perhaps he is correctly reading the mood of the vast majority of the Russian population.

Maybe the Russian public need more time to progress before they are ready to accept reforms of this nature.
