3 paths
So in the aftermath of Celebrity Big Brother's 'race row' and bullying incidents, 3 individuals are being held responsible for the most part leaving several others to go un-questioned for their behaviour. Of course, the 3 being Jade, Jo and Danielle.
Given that these 3 in-particular are trying desperately to save their public image via the use of the media instead of accepting their wrongs and sinking back into society, each individual has taken a significantly different approach to redemption than the others.
1. Sympathy. (Jade). Jade's PR team are working hard to pull the heart strings of the British public, and Jade's good friends 'the press' are creating a tidal wave of 'hate' for which they are holding the people of Britain responsible for.
2. Denial. (Jo). From the moment Jo came out of the house and started taking interviews she has stuck adamantly to her position of being absolutely innocent in the whole furore, and any offense caused was un-intentional, giving no verbal indication of her remorse for the offense she caused.
3. Insincerity. (Danielle). the most ambitious of the young career girls, so understandably the one to pull out all the stops, instead of giving a simple sincere apology for her admitted offences, her PR team embarked on an intense 'damage limitation' campaign, writing long winded apologies to all the right people, saying all the things people want to hear, and the hard work has basically seen Danielle turn from 'media monster' to 'media angel' in the space of a week.
As it stands, Danielle's insincerity seems to have won her an early lead in the race for redemption, but how do you think it will turn out in the long-term? Who is conning the public best? Or would you just prefer it if they would get a proper job?
