Dexter wanted to take the money, he calculated the risk and it did pay off insofar as he managed to pick the lowest amount of walking money. How his face must have fallen when the truth was revealed he wouldn't get to walk with the money. Now that's greed.

The reason we are seeing the silly behaviour on here tonight is because slimey Dexter has been exposed as a desperate snake in this twist and they dont like it and are trying to deflect the attention onto Sam by deliberately pretending they didnt understand the task.
Everyone knows Sams behaviour showed him as being honest tonight.
