He scanned the board for while... we don't know how long.
The 100k and 99k would have been obvious in their absence so it was just a question of checking back through the figures to see that 96 whatever it was was missing.....
He said in the clip I'll go last, they placed the amount they chose in their case and left the room with it, so unless they had 3 sets of numbers there is no way they could all choose with all numbers present.
