He engages in racist humour/banter. But he also opened the door for black people to enter an all white game and was an advocate and support for those players
in opposition to many others in the game.
I am in no way defending his humour, nor am I saying he holds no racist views. But I suspect he's done a good deal more to help build a more tolerant and inclusive society than he has to break it down.
Seems unfair to add so much weight to some passively racist notions, and so little to years of active anti-racism.
