I am proud of myself for changing my lifelong 30 year career in administration and finding work in my 50s in my new chosen career of becoming a social care worker and making the lives of severely brain damaged people that little bit more happy. My eyes have certainly been opened since I began my new work, people really do have no clue. While initially petrified and daunted I am really proud that I am making it, my rewards are when I recognise happiness on my being around them and the knowledge I have gained their trust.

Proud of someone else, has to be my husband who overcame losing a limb in a dreadful industrial accident. My husband never ceases to amaze me with his positive outlook and he never feels sorry for himself.

I feel I can safely say these are good reasons for being proud.
