Coach Trip fans will be pleased to know that Brendan Sheerin is back and he’s bringing the bus with him! Channel Four have renewed the cult reality series for a ninth series after its’ hiatus since 2012.
The daytime reality series sees tour guide Brendan Sheerin take a group of travellers on an action-packed tour of the world, taking them on a number of excursions as they travel countries such as France, Spain and Switzerland. However, in a twist the couples are able to vote each other off, causing plenty of friction and drama.
Speaking about the show being recommissioned, Sheerin described it as ”absolutely fabulous” adding: ””It’s the answer to lots of people’s prayers. I’m ready to ride the coach again”.
Coach Trip originally aired on Channel 4 between 2005 and 2006 before it returned in 2009 and became a surprise ratings hit. Brendan returned to our screens earlier in the summer in a new series Brendan’s Magical Mystery Tour which failed to score the same success as the aforementioned series.
