David Bowie is rumoured to make a guest appearance on the new album by Arcade Fire.
According to The Sun, Bowie joined the band and former LCD Soundsystem man James Murphy for a recording session recently at New York's Electric Lady studios. The track they recorded together is said to feature on Arcade Fire's currently untitled fourth album, which is set for release on October 29.
Bowie is known to be a fan of the Canadian band and joined them on stage at the Fashion Rocks event in New York in September 2005 and then again later that month at the city's CMJ Music Marathon.
Arcade Fire will be premiering 'Reflektor', the first single from the album, in two days' time. Director Anton Corbijn told The Daily Beast that the band will be unveiling the video for the song on the evening of September 9, saying: "I'm working on a really great song at the moment: Arcade Fire's new single. The song is called 'Reflektor' and you'll be able to see it Monday evening."
When asked for more details about the video, he added: "I can't say much more than that, because it's all a surprise. You'll have to watch the TV Monday evening."
