That depends on everyone individually I would say. Give it time after you have been sick.. like maybe an hour.. to let your stomach settle down, then try something light. Just a small snack. I can't really say what in particular you should eat, but just don't eat a huge lot or anything which is really heavy in the stomach. Sometimes eating 6 or 8 small meals a day, instead of 3 or 4 regular ones helps as well.
A while back I went through a period of being sick a lot, and because I had done it on purpose before, I thought ppl would think I was doing it on purpose again (which I wasn't). Anyway, long story short, went to the doc, and discovered it was muscle spasms in my stomach and bowel. Causes diarhoea (sp) in some ppl and sickness in others. For me it was indigestion and sickness. I do have a weak stomach, and tend to be sick if I overeat, even yet. I also had terrible morning sickness when I was pregnant (both times). Some ppl just have hellish digestion. You might be one of them. But, you learn to live with it and you know what to eat and how much.
Also, what Sasha said about the food intolerance is something to look into. I don't have that, but I know ppl who have, and it's not always diagnosed straight away, but when it finally gets sorted out, it makes a helluva difference.
