A lot of things are lost in translation. "Je suis une bombe" is a French expression similar to English's "I'm the bomb" so I can see how a shirt like that would be made and worn with the intention of being funny. When I first read about this it sounded almost like a bomb threat so I agreed with the mother and uncle being punished, but now I see that it's actually more of a free speech issue and not glorifying a crime. Stupid? yes. Criminal, no.
