Also for her to claim housing benefit, means that she is living in a council house or some cheap rented property?

Does that mean that Jade didnt assist her mum in buying a house with the millions she mad? - Priority check!
Whilst claiming DLA you do not go to sign on. It is assessed on medical grounds and is an on-going benefit.

You can live in a lavish palace and still get housing benefit up to what the Rent Service dictates and based on income and savings. It is a mis conception that only 'council' tenants and poor/low cost housing receives housing benefit.

DWP will look into whether this will be classed as earnings or savings. The first £156.00 of earnings is disregarded then any thing after that is considered. You can have £16,000 in savings - yes £16,000 or £15,999.99 for benefit assesment, and still qualify for benefits.

Cor - like being back at work!!!!!

Either way - looks like she will or may have to pay some back. Benefits are for the needy not greedy!!!
