This MP is right though, I personally don't want a referendum as to the EU because it doesn't matter to me, I would vote to stay in no matter what.
However all this nonsense of the EU being an important issue but David Cameron not doing any new negotiations until after the next election and then a further 2 years down the line holding a referendum stinks totally.

I agree with the MP that is should be settled before the next election, the negotiations could have been going on for the last year at least and the referendum could easily have been done by or even at the 2015 election, when many more voters would have taken part too.
To get any actual date for a referendum, Cameron will need at least an 80 to 100 overall majority in order to beat off his pro EU MPs,he also will not start any negotiations until he gets an overall majority despite there being little objection to him negotiating a better deal for the UK which is what he should be doing constantly as PM anyway now.

He will find a way to argue, were it likely a referendum was going to be really close or a more likely no vote in 2017, to say he hasn't the arithmetic to get a full referendum plan enacted.
No way I hope will the voters ever give this man a big overall majority and he has already broken his word on issues, espeically the NHS,so I for one will never believe his sincerity as to an EU referendum.
Just as this MP clearly doesn't too.
