I didn't find her characters amusing, but that kind of thing is exceptionally hard to pull off at the best of times. But they were quite well crafted all the same, I think. I actually did find that particular moment extremely amusing though, and a million miles away from 'harassment'. Dirk's reaction was extremely malicious, and I'd go as far to say that what really annoyed him was the fact that it was all done in jest (or perhaps that should be the best possible taste?), and the realisation that he really didn't stand a chance. A strong, confident woman will always make a man wet his pants, and Dirk couldn't even distinguish between the charcter and the subtle tease. He made a fool of himself, and showed the reality of his misanthropic nature.
IMO - Cleo is neither strong or confident. If he had gone up to her and draped himself all over her - despite her asking him not to - and if he had then followed her around the house, despite her asking him to leave her alone - I bet he would have been in big trouble.

Interesting how when they were both up for the chop, Cleo received a considerable amount more votes than Dirk did.
