Overrated:
BB2 - I don't think people necessarily love this series here, but it isn't regarded like a bad series that it is. Literally nothing happens and there's no sense of plot or story.
BB3 - such a mediocre series, it's only held in high regard because it's seen as a classic but it's really nothing special at all. Alex, Adele, Sandy, and Tim carried the show and everyone else is either boring and irrelevant or annoying and awful.
BB9 - it was good, but not great by any means. The highs are really high but the lows (Darnell, Rex, Luke, Mohamed) are ****ing atrocious. Definitely not a bad series, but in the contest of this forum it's so overrated.
BB10 - sososo dire. It does pick up once the intruders come in and even more so after Noirin's eviction, but the first five or six weeks is simply not good. It's an exhausting and overwhelming series and I could not with Rodrigo's shrieking, Siavash's transparent martyrdom, Marcus's whining, Freddie's cringeness, etc. It really is a demonic parody of the much superior BB6, which does the whole "house full of objectively bad people" thing entertaining. Also, from a production standpoint it blows? It's almost like production forgot that this was Big Brother and left out tasks and nominations and critical parts of the show.
BB14 - definitely recency bias, but it's a completely average series with tedious storylines and pretty gross characters who aren't likable.

Underrated:
BB1 - doesn't get nearly enough credit as it deserves for being the best classic BB season. The characters are fresh and complex, there are so many moments that it doesn't feel like the first season, and it holds up amazingly well having just rewatched in January. Truly a must see season.
BB4 - yes it sucks, but it's no worse than BB2. The first month is actually like normal BB and is carried by Jon and Federico, the Africa swap and Tania provide enough moments for the fifth week, and the next two weeks are pretty essential viewing if only for the saga of Lisa Jeynes, so 7/9 isn't that bad? Still, Cameron and Steph policing fun and coming out victorious just sours it all and the last two weeks are some of the worst in BB history.
BB8 - it has its obvious flaws (the last month being run by ****ing awful people, the cruel anti-intruder mentality, etc.) but for the first eight or nine weeks it's actually really good? Plenty of great arguments, fantastic women who unfortunately almost all get evicted, and a lot of solid individual episodes such as BB's Birthday.
BB11 - yes, John James is one of the worst ever and his showmance with Josie sucked so much oxygen from the show, but it actually had a lot of raw potential and delivered well for the first month or so? Sunshine's eviction, Shabby walking, and the new intruders was a trifecta of bad events (pretty analogous to Charley's eviction, Chanelle walking, and the halfway housemates) bring the show to a halt but the first month is extremely solid. Even after that, we still have Ben, Corin, and Rachel Ifon among others so can it really be that bad?
