We get the overnights straight away, it was 3.8, but they're usually really inaccurate, like it was 4.8 for episode 2 but the official numbers show that it was the same as the premiere, US ratings are really confusing cause they do it in demographics

Coven is averaging 7.2 million Total Viewers, 5.03 million Adults 18-49, and 2.93 million Adults 18-34, which are respective gains of +49% in Total Viewers, +41% in Adults 18-49 and +33% in Adults 18-34 of American Horror Story: Asylum (Live+3 to Live+3 comparison). Coven's gains over American Horror Story: Murder House are significantly higher with increases of +89% in Total Viewers, +90% in Adults 18-49, and +97% in Adults 18-34.
