Hubby and I took the decision for me to pack in my very good job when son was due, daughter came along nearly 3 years later.
Once they were both at school and I had loads of free time I started getting bored. I put an ad in the local newsagents to do cleaning and ironing so that I could dictate my hours and work around the school holidays.
Unbelievable just how much work I had to turn down. I would say a very high percentage of people where I live are teachers, police, footballers etc so plenty of dosh to spare for a cleaner.
Ended up babysitting for most of them as well, if their kids were ill and could not go to school or nursery.
Packed it all in after 7/8 years due to health issues.
Now a lady of leisure, great not to have to get up and out to work in the winter etc but it does get very boring at times.
