Will Young is brilliant, probably the best British male popstar to have emerged since the turn of the century. There's just something undeniably great about him, there's some depth there, he's not just somebody who can sing, which is something you could describe quite a few of the names in the poll as being...

Girls Aloud are obviously amazing, they overcame a lot of odds and their music is undeniable.

Little Mix are really cool. I like that there's no lead singer among them, at least not yet anyway. I hope they stay like that for as long as possible, I think they'll be the next great girl band in British history.

Leona Lewis is of course the greatest success story of all... call her boring all you like, it doesn't detract from her talent or the fact she's just a really lovely girl with an incredible singing voice - she's the definition of what these shows should be about. There have been many great singers on these shows, but she's the best of them all, she's just so effortless in her delivery, and then when you hear her speak and discover that she's a really humble, quiet girl and not some insane diva... well, I think it's endearing.
