I don't have a problem with them banning smoking on hospital grounds, indeed it's already banned at my local hospital. However, if they're going to ban long-term smokers from smoking, they have to help them with nicotine gum, patches, whatever they can do to help. If they were drug addicts they would be helped. Because the substance they're addicted to is legal - and incidentally, raises million and millions of pounds in tobacco duty for the treasury every year - doesn't mean they shouldn't get help.
