Conzors, that is a pretty sad event you had to put up with,I never give advice to anyone really but one thing I thought was if he had a genuine reason not be there on time or at all then he could have rang the pub and left a message for you.

Furthermore all I would say is be wary and I agree with the others who have said,only meet him in a public place until you feel you can be sure of him,that is if you intend to maybe risk going through that again.
