..I think it's really strange/difficult as a parent sometimes and having to 'observe' the awkwardness from a distance..and stop yourself from saying..'oh why don't you just say this to her/it's obvious she likes you....' etc and realising that unless they ask you, they have to do it for themselves and go through it themselves etc...and as Shaun said, even when they try something different when they really like someone and try to be cool about it..laid back..and they're kind of 'over cool' about it and you're thinking oh, no, that's just going to look all wrong/they'll think you're an idiot and you're not ..show them your 'real' self because it's lovely..etc..it's a weird one..whether they act awkward or 'cool', all you're thinking is please let that other person like them back/feel the same because you know how difficult and 'unnatural' it all is for them...
