She is now, but she wasn't the night that Jade first walked into the house. This is a UK tv show we're talking about. Her popularity in India, and to ethnic minorities elsewhere, is meaningless in the context of the show because it was only screened in the UK. When people tuned into BB this year, virtually all of them knew who Jade was. But only a tiny fraction had any idea who Shilpa was. That's a basic fact, and it really shouldn't need continual, lengthy explanation.
