The continuation of the ICB killings even after Ken's assumed admission of guilt was discovered when the group of 8 inmates gathered again for lunch on Thursday. They noticed the absence of Arnaud and made the assumption that he'd killed himself over being unable to woo Luiz or something - they were pretty heartless bitches like that. As Julianne made hasty adjustments to her overalls - she had a hefty camel toe on the go - she ventured that they should go and look for him.
Less than 20 minutes later, the discovery of his body in the ruined dining hall at the very tail-end of the complex left them all aghast. They'd tried so many times to pin the blame on someone and it'd only resulted in more bodies piling up.
"Seriously, why are they doing this?" Stefanie flung out her arm and hobbled about angrily (she had burns remember? OK) "What do they want from us?" She looked around accusingly.
"This is disgusting," Mariya's face screwed up, and she started crying into Richard's shoulder. He put his arm around her - not out of a particular affection, but just because she was quite heavy. He needed to work out, he thought.
An argument broke out between Stefanie, Julianne and Chenzira as they tried to pin each other's whereabouts the night before. They realised that drifting off alone kept making them vulnerable, and for that Arnaud had paid the highest price. It was his idea, after all.
"Perhaps we should stick together," Julianne ventured.
"And stay within touching distance of a murderer? No thanks. I'd rather hole up in my own space where I can't be touched," ranted Hugh.
"...or where you can't be tracked," chimed in Stefanie spitefully.
"Oh because you haven't been off on your own the past 3 days? How are the burns, Stef? Still putting it on?" He shoved her, and Demetri lunged at him.
"You do not touch this woman, she is sick," he stood inbetween.
The argument went on late into the evening, but eventually subsided as they settled down to dinner. Julianne's idea of sticking together - no matter how suspicious and violent their conversation was - seemed to have fallen into place naturally. Mariya was still docile, and had struck a rapport with Demetri as the token oldies of the group.
The next day passed without much incident: they'd used the fire extinguisher Luiz found to bash down the control room door but found that the computers were all password-protected, and there wasn't actually a phone in sight. Figuring she may have had a mobile, they sent Luiz to investigate her corpse one last time but he found nothing other than onsetting rigor mortis. They resigned themselves to the fact that they were totally cut off from the world and traded all sorts of conspiracy theories about this being the product of a right-wing government trying to bring back capital punishment.
Early on Saturday morning, one of the inmates woke a long time before anyone else.
