New Year is such a crap non-event, it's up there with "the clocks have gone forward!!!!", "the clocks have gone back!!!!" and Halloween in my list of things everyone else gets in a flap over that I don't care about. I'm going to the party because it's a party, but I would also go to it if it was on the 1st of January or the 30th of December; if I'm spending it at home we usually just watch a DVD instead of any of the stuff on TV. Get sick of watching Jackie Bird getting wheeled out of cryogenic freezing to do the countdown every year.
