Amnesia
Say you're in a relationship with someone and one of you has some kind of accident and suffers from amnesia and can't remember anything about your relationship with no guarantee that they'll ever remember - would you (if you were the one affected, or the partner) stick around to try and get the relationship back on track or would you consider yourself single and move on?
