Channel 5 are probably ecstatic that he said it because of the attention it will bring the show but the warning is clearly just them being seen to disapprove to cover themselves.
His opinion is wrong and offensive and just shows him to be an extremely stupid probably religious American but at the end of the day it's his opinion and it's his right to have it.
