I had a German girl complain to me at 100mph in fluent English that her English was terrible and she was going to fail her exams, I just laughed and pointed that out to her and it didn't matter what an exam qualification said, she was fluent in English and she totally chilled out, think that was one of my proudest moments as a teacher
it is SO annoying though when someone claims they're crap at something and they totally aren't.
