Most Superdrugs and Boots have loads of Christmas gift sets left over that've been dramatically reduced... was quite handy, my mum and niece's birthdays were the 10th and 17th of this month
managed to get a big pack of nail varnishes (pretty girly ones) for £2.99 and there were loads of other (Dove, Lynx, Gillette, Impulse, etc.) sets for about the same price.
