Then - and I say this as a poor soul who has been managing in a bookies for almost 4 years - she shouldn't even ENTER one let alone want to work there! Unless her definition of "normal people" is exceptionally skewed, and her idea of "being useful" involves taking money from people who probably can't afford it, and have no hope of ever winning much of it back.

That aside: I don't know how busy the shop in question is, but if its even close to the one I'm in, the job isn't as easy as it looks! It's fast paced, high pressure and involves constant mental arithmetic combined seamlessly with shouting at junkies. Without losing count. I've seen perfectly mentally sound people lose it on bad days, I don't think it's a great idea for someone with bipolar disorder tbh...
