To be honest I was thinking the other day about how I think prisons should be segregated for gay people. It was after reading a Guardian article about how gay people are victimized and face more violence in prison than heterosexuals, and i was thinking they really should segregate gay people into a separate prison, for their own sake. If it's okay to segregate prisons based on gender because women would face more violence, then why aren't they also doing that for gay men?

As far as this bill is concerned, if it becomes law it will go to the courts and be easily overturned. The more extreme these attempts by the republicans get, the more legal precedent they are setting when they get overturned, which is actually helping the gay(equal) rights movement.
