People are very sentimental (when it comes to anything but cows, pigs and chickens). I don't really understand it. At least they're feeding it to lions as is the natural order of things... I mean seriously... Go on safari and see a lion itself take out a little giraffe. They dony use a bolt gun to the head. They probably start eating its legs before its even dead. And all without crowds of humans standing around weeping.

I mean in all seriousness - what is the philosophical difference between slaughtering a cow and "murdering" a giraffe? Because we kill MILLIONS of cows every year for our own consumption... And (I seriously hope!) all of them are "healthy", too...
