His character Lloyd fights for life after the race, held in honour of Hayley Cropper who ended her life in January.
The cabbie's daughter Jenna (Krissi Bohn) is the first to rush to her father's aid before he is taken to hospital, in distressing scenes filmed yesterday.
His best mate, Rovers boss Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is riddled with guilt after admitting he tripped Lloyd up in a bid to win the race.
We'll see if Lloyd survives when the scenes air in May.
