Eh no he wouldn't, he's either never commented on the show or when he has it's been to criticise it, neither of which are surprising because it's a rival brand so I've never heard anyone call him 'ignorant' because you wouldn't think he'd bring it up anyway
I'm not criticising him either, I'm a Simon fan
I too think it's quite gracious of him to congratulate him publicly like that I was just shocked that's all seeing as he's either never mentioned it before or when he has it's been to slag it off
