We've all been new... personally, post counts just pointed out to me who was a reg. Nothing more. Generally I think most regs are welcoming to new people who aren't acting like arses.
Post counts don't count in Chat and Games. That's the way it is. I personally can't understand why not because no one can say the rest of the forum is so much worthier and that utter tosh never gets posted anywhere other than Chat and Games. Also, in off-season, Chat and Games pretty much keeps this place going so to write it off as not worthy of being counted sounds ridiculous to me. However, it has been decided that's the way it is and I'm happy to go with that.
What worries me more is that there is no way to appeal. Because it was abused it was removed for everyone. The mods to a thankless job, but the members keep this place walking and for there to be no way for a member to appeal a decision in a adult way defies my understanding.

..yeah that was my thought that people can fairly much see who posts regularly and that they seem to know each other so I don't think that a high post count has any effect of being intimidating in any way...and I also agree that it's frustrating not to have a proper appeal section or a section where you can discuss things that you may want to..maybe not exactly like before if that didn't work so well but a 'private' room or something..
