Blue got 5th place in the televote in 2011, they had a bad jury performance so got knocked down incredibly...
Jade Ewen came 5th
Jessica Garlick came 3rd.
Let alone the numerous wins and not placing outside of the top 10 before 1999.
We did badly because we DESERVED to do badly in the 2000's, I'm sure if one of the powerhouse countries sent the likes of Scooch (I loved Scooch)/Josh Dubovie/Andy Abrahams/Daz Sampson they'd flop as well. Bonnie was drunk and Engelburt had a lovely song but forgettable and didn't help that he was on first.
We think we're entitled to do well and Terry Wogan has gave this stigma that every single last detail about the show is political and it's nauseating.
