You're asking people not to judge a whole population on one story... you're basing your judgement on knowing "some people" in China.
The Chinese - generally - treat animals appallingly. This is the country that was gassing kittens, stuffing them and sending them here as toys. Who stuff cats and dogs into crates so tightly packed that they can't move then unload them from the back of trucks by throwing them to the ground, smashing their bodies... who skin cats and dogs for their fur while they're still alive. I agree you can't judge all the same, but it does colour that judgement.
