I don't have a problem with loans but it needs reform. If a player is on loan to a 'new' club that's a rival to or in domestic competition with the parent club then that player shouldn't be cup tied. I liked the fact that in CL Chelsea thought they could dump goalie Courtouis at innocuous Atletico Madrid and it wouldn't come back to haunt them.
This should be extended to league/ domestic games so a loan player can still score or goalkeep against his parent club. Jose Mourinho is now like a wounded boyfriend begging Courtois to return.
