Default Drunk pensioner conducts train in sing-a-long

There’s something very heart-warming about a drunken pensioner singing with gusto.

And those aboard a Southeastern train service on Friday night thought so too.

Passengers travelling in silence from London Victoria to Ashford were suddenly treated to a sing-a-long after a jolly 60-something man got to his feet and started warbling his way through the call-and-response Scout song Kumala Vista.

Dressed in a suit, and possibly wearing his best Dutch courage overcoat, our hero leapt up and bellowed out the catchy tune – though his take on the lyrics was a bit shady to say the least.

His fellow passengers got into the spirit straight away and joined in, before rewarding the lengthy number with an eruption of laughter and applause.

The episode was captured by Maidstone man George Haswell.
