I'm sure they'll be able to confirm it's her remains if they do find it there, but it's not very likely that there will be anything left of her body bar her skeleton if she's been dead for 7 years - so they won't be able to figure out how she died unless there's damage to her skeleton, I would have thought? So even if they find her skeleton, all that will do is confirm she's dead and the last 7 years of false sightings and fund raising have been pointless because her dead body was lying relatively close by to the apartment all this time. All these allegations of paedophile rings and preposterous theories about her being taken away in a boat will be proven to be farce. All that finding her skeleton will do is confirm that she is dead which will give the world closure on the matter; it won't prove how she died (probably) and it won't prove the McCanns to be innocent or guilty (probably).
