I like the little things like this too. The sound effects for transitions / graphics appearing on-screen too.
It's all these seemingly small things that, together, make the show look more appealing on the surface. Just when they're putting effort in to maintain the theme across the graphics, sounds, etc. And yeah, it all reminds me of the C4 days.
I also love the blue theme going on with the graphics and lighting, a little BB6 imo.
