The biggest bullet he dodged was being a big softy and allowing Helen to walk all over him and forgiving her so easy. If he had tried to enter a discussion or it ended up getting heated between the two of them like it probably would have if it was anyone else but Chris he would have been well and truly destroyed by her and would have had that group against him.. he is nice and safe for now.
