Slug v’s Slag
Its one letter off, but the connotations and implications are miles apart.
“I think what she said was completely unfair”
“You can feel a nastiness in her” – Helen on Danielle
“I like everyone else…oh, except for the slug” Helen on Jale
“Maybe its because…I’m not…******ing…like…talking about this and being a ******ing slag” Danielle on why she got nominated.
Have to love BB, barely a week in and the HM’s are already fighting, showing their true characteristics and forgetting what they themselves have said.
Its plain to see that Danielle opinions are wacko, and that she doesn’t practice what she preaches. The whole anti-gay thing, getting offended about sex talk while working in the sex industry. But in fairness she never actually called anyone a “slag”. What she said was that she felt was up for eviction because she wasn’t acting like a “slag”.
She did go off on one and promise to tell everyone what she thought of them, but she never singled anyone out. And had Helen not stormed in looking for answers, chances are she would have vented the anger away.
Helen on the other hand is Queen Bee personified. Almost from day one she was in the bathroom destroying other HM’s. Holding court in school yard fashion. Talking about how the “big” personalities are safe. Her reaction to Tamara getting nominated was brilliant.
But sticking to the facts, Helen has actually slept with people for money. More importantly she admits to sleeping with married men for money. So even if Danielle had called her a slag, it wouldn’t have been a completely unfair statement. But Danielle didn’t, so the fight was really about Helen getting her nose out of joint.
However calling Jale a slug was completely nasty and it was done in a bathroom, away from witnesses.
I believe that the “slag” thing is being blown out of proportion. Danielle might be wrong about just about everything else, but she wasn’t wrong here.
Helen on the other hand…
