They should have invited Chris to the diary room at the start of the day, given him the earpiece there and then. Then throughout the day invited others and not Chris to the diary room. Pretty simple to do.
The producers fail so much with hiding things. But I guess they prefer it if everyone knows so bitching and fights can kick off quicker.
