I am sorry but Liverpool have swooped in like vultures and licked clean the eye sockets of Southampton. It's actually abysmal how smaller teams will never have sustained success. The problem with having £50m and being a small club is you still can't buy decent players. They could afford a Pogba, Blind or a Vidal but obviously these players won't join the Saints.

No football club would choose not to sign another player simply because their last transfer was from the same team. Literally no club. If a club want a player they're going to go for it regardless, not choose not to on some crazy moral high ground that could mean they lose out. Southampton happen to have the players they desire so it's unfortunate.
There are many more players than the big names. There would be no need for scouts otherwise. They can attract good talent on the grounds that they're a mid table team in the biggest league in the world.
