Default Friends & Family: The Lowdown On Jason

He wants to win but he wants to enjoy himself too - that's the opinion of Jason's mate Alan. We caught up with his pal for a chat on the big man's progress...

Web Editor: Do you think Jason is being himself in the House?

Alan: I think he is, there's a lot of sides to Jay, he has a fun side and a deep side.

Web Editor: Has he changed since being in the House?

Alan: His character is coming out, but I don't think he's changed terribly.

Web Editor: How do you think he is handling being in the BB House?

Alan: Overall he's handled being in the House very well. The last couple of days he hasn't come across very well, but to be on a show for 10 weeks and be this fantastic character - it's impossible to do.

Web Editor: Do you think he has a strategy or is he just enjoying himself?

Alan: Everyone in the house is hoping to win, but I think overall he's enjoying it. He would certainly like to do well and, at the same time, he is trying to be himself.

Web Editor: What is your opinion on his friendship with Vanessa?

Alan: It's quite sincere and he genuinely likes her and I think she genuinely likes him.

Web Editor: Is Vanessa the type of girl he would go for?

Alan: Absolutely, I think she comes across as very dear, she's very beautiful. There are signs where you can tell that she has started to really care about Jay, although she has kept a wall between the two.

Web Editor: What's it like having a mate in the BB house?

Alan: We're very proud of him, he's done fantastically. The response from the home town has been very positive.

Web Editor: Rate Jason's progress so far on a scale of 1-10...

Alan: Last week, I would have given him a very high 8, but this week, he's been very deep the past few days, so he's probably sitting at about 6.

Web Editor: Is he more of a fun-loving character than a serious character?

Alan: He's a lovely person, he goes out of his way for his friends and family. He's a more 'Fun Time Frankie', and great to be around.

Web Editor: What words of encouragement would you give Jason?

Alan: I would say just to be himself. If you know him, he's a very unique character; there are a lot of sides to him. He is a very interesting guy, very charismatic and has a very strong magnetism to him.
