The Daily Star newspaper in Britain reports that Gwyneth Paltrow has contacted her godfather - director Stephen Spielberg - about pursuing a feature film based on the 'Big Brother' reality show concept.
Reportedly a fan of 'Big Brother U.K.' while staying at home and caring for her newborn daughter Apple, Paltrow is said to believe the reality show would be the perfect setting for a "tense and darkly humorous movie based on the old Andy Warhol principle of our 15 minutes of fame", a source told The Daily Star.
After a lackluster season, the British version of 'Big Brother' is reclaiming a steady following in England. This year's series has featured political protests, steamy action and a violent dust-up which resulted in the eviction of a houseguest.
The U.S. edition of the series debuts on Tuesday, July 6th on CBS. On the 'Big Brother' series, a group of strangers will live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As the outside world watches on television and the Internet, the HouseGuests will vote each other out, one by one, until only one remains and goes home a half million dollars richer.
