For about 3 weeks she had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at her. Her closest friend Toya was evicted, then when she conspired to get Ash up and out, another friend in Matthew got evicted. The eviction crowd loudly chanted to "Get Ashleigh Out". Before this she had been labelled various things during the seance by other housemates and was then put up for eviction, before further conversations and diary room entries by her were revealed to Helen, Kim and Jale, putting an even bigger target on her back. During all of this the girl did not flinch. She proved herself to be a tough, gritty, determined character who went on to survive that eviction. And the next and the one after that, which she should never have been up for in the first place after being voted Power housemate, which she did very well.
You find out what a person is made of when everything goes wrong for a housemate and Ashleigh showed she was made of steel. And it's about time a strong, clever and savvy girl won this programme.
