Ashleigh started a divide between herself and Helen, but Helen started the divide between the entire house.
Why was Ashleigh calling her vile? Because of the way she was picking on hms she didn't deem cool enough to be in her own group, banging around the house as if she owned the place, and generally showing aggression in confrontational situations. The things she said about Danielle were honestly awful. If you don't want people to dislike you, then don't be a dick to them and their friends.
Just because Ashleigh slated Helen first doesn't mean she instigated the full house divide. Helen did that all on her own in my opinion (with the help of Pauline maybe!)
