Because it's seriously annoying having people drag up housemates pasts every series, it's totally irrelevant to how they are in the house. We haven't had cameras following them around all their lives so most of what is claimed we have no idea whether it's true or not anyway but it isn't even important...we're supposed to judge them on the here and now, what they're doing in the house, not on how they are or were in their real lives.
If this was a Helen thread you would agree with me also. It goes for Helen, Ashleigh, anyone. There's no need to dig for dirt on housemates personal lives in a desperate attempt to try and criticise them
